open17
Searched--and found 1 two year old thread--not much help. State passed law that I can't talk on cell while driving. Goes into effect Jan 1, so time to start shopping for a headset. In addition to my noisy truck, I want it to work around running machinery in the manufacturing plant. At this point I'm trying to decide between the following: Aliph Jawbone Prime Plantronics Voyager Pro Any others to consider? Any personal experience with either of these? I've read a hundred reviews, and it seems pretty well split between the two.

Front Man
My original Jaw Bone was terrible with my BB 8703e. I sent it back ASAP. It may be a phone issue, not a head set issue. Aliph could cut the price of their head set in half if they put it in a paper box vs. an extravagent show piece container that makes it look like it belongs in a museum. A. Schwager (Left Coast USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) The Samsung WEP410 performs so much better than any other bluetooth unit I have used, it makes one wonder why other makers are still trying -- I've owned many models from Motorola, Bluespoon, Plantronics, Jawbone, and many other makers. John2A
I like the Plantronics. I have had it for about 3 months and it really does what it says it will do. The one thing that I really like about it is the feature that you can check the battery life and when you are in the 10 -20 minutes of battery life you get a verbal warning about low power. Will freak you out big time first time you hear it but really worth the $$$ I think.
scribble
I had a jawbone but to me it was too noisy. I have a Blueant v9 now and have no complaints.
Nik Habicht
I've moved away from headsets totally and settled on the Blue Ant Supertooth 3 speakerphone. It does what I need it to exceedingly well -- that is to connect to the phone, to enable a clear conversation, to be comfortable, and to not knock out half my hearing when I'm not on the phone. Some of the other "features" such as telephone book integration and announcing who's calling aren't working well with my phone -- but that may be a phone issue. markcic
I have both and I like the Plantroics better. Better voice quialty and I can sync it to multiple devices at the same time so I can use it with my Blackberry and Skype.
open17
Followup----I ended up getting the Jawbone Prime. Works great, I can use it in some really noisy areas. Cons: Takes a while to connect a call. Several seconds. I'll get used to it, but it's annoying. Eargels. I've tried every possible combination with the stuff that comes with it, and also tried with Plantronic 925 gels. NONE are comfortable/secure for more than a couple of hours. Going with the custom molded earpiece from Avery Sound. Spendy, but it should work. Bill
