Zak Smith
Can anyone tell me what the practical difference is between SVI's 3, 5, and 7-sided slides? Anyone have pictures of any of those? I see the different pictures on their Gunbuilder, but it's not very illuminating. thanks Zak
L9X25
Zak, These options are mainly cosmetic. SV trys to give the customer all of the options available so that they can build a "custom" gun. Since the majority of the good manufacturers and gunsmiths can make a gun that is accurate and works, the cosmetics become a big point for comparison. ErikW
I thought weight had something to do with the cuts, too.
Julien Boit
Like Erik, I believe the less you have sides, the lighter the slide is. My vote goes for a 3 sided.
PistolPete
I'm getting the 3 sided slide myself. I personally like the way it looks better. I like a boxy looking gun. Are you buying an SV or are you just looking at them? Pete

eerw
Zak. from what i have seen..the sides they count are flats on the top.. if you were to flat top the slide then cut the radius on each side of that to a flat you would have a three sided slide..if you another flat on each side..it becomes a five-sided slide ( five flats where the radius would be) ..hope that helps.
