"ManMountain" holders being the best....bla...bla....bla.

These are the best holders bar none. I will not use anything else again.

I cant believe Kurt and I did a video clip of his hand technique and it got onto Youporn.............

Mikey must have typed "pornstache shotgun reload" and the 1st vid to pop up was Kurt's.

As for the original question, I usually start with 8 rounds off a 3gungear sidesaddle and then go for support hand loading 4 at time off PMT 4 round caddies. I do have some 6 round caddies but I prefer the 4s.

For people whose hand size is such that grabbing 4 shells (from a Cali Comp 4) isn't possible/dependable, try grabbing 3 shells (from a Cali Comp 6). It's probably better to be smooth and quick with 3, rather than slow and clumsy with 4 (like me) - and you can maximize your belt real estate that way.

Man Mountain for me even though KirkM is my personal hero. I have average size hands and can get four very consistently. For me the key was learning to do three smooth then adding another shell. I even got all jacked up during the huge shotgun only stage at CMMG last year and grabbed six out of a borrowed CCW carrier- then loaded them all without dropping one. I had to borrow the extra carrier because I did not bring enough to shoot that stage. Rookie mistake... Anyway, I sincirely hope CMMG makes having a similar stage a tradition at thier match. BTW, my personal best (still far behind Kurt, Kelly, Mike and Benny) is about 7.10 to load eight so you probably ought to listen to them. Not even sure why I am typing.

Alright, the video is in the can...so to speak. Competition DVDs will have it all edited and cleaned up and ready sometime in late July or August. It only covers weakhand loading, and a few other important things so stay tuned! It is on the way! KurtM
