As for the original question, I usually start with 8 rounds off a 3gungear sidesaddle and then go for support hand loading 4 at time off PMT 4 round caddies. ac4wordplay Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 For people whose hand size is such that grabbing 4 shells (from a Cali Comp 4) isn't possible/dependable, try grabbing 3 shells (from a Cali Comp 6). whiskey1 Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 Man Mountain for me even though KirkM is my personal hero. I have average size hands and can get four very consistently. For me the key was learning to do three smooth then adding another shell. I even got all jacked up during the huge shotgun only stage at CMMG last year and grabbed six out of a borrowed CCW carrier- then loaded them all without dropping one. I had to borrow the extra carrier because I did not bring enough to shoot that stage. Rookie mistake... Anyway, I sincirely hope CMMG makes having a similar stage a tradition at thier match. BTW, my personal best (still far behind Kurt, Kelly, Mike and Benny) is about 7.10 to load eight so you probably ought to listen to them. Not even sure why I am typing.
