Aircooled6racer
Hello: I have a STI single stack I built for my son and I. I was wondering if I should make the trigger totally square or make it like a regular 1911? Let me know what you guys think. My son told me what he likes but what does a 10 year old know Thanks, Eric

HSMITH
Regular, most holsters are built for them and since I got rid of the bad habit of hooking a finger on the trigger guard regular works just as well as square.
Matt Cheely
Square looks good. Shameless plug for the one Springfield just sent me Edited December 22, 2008 by Matt Cheely

Carloz
I personally am a huge fan of the square trigger especially if it has checkering or stippling. My week hand index finger really stays put while shooting. I have most of my single stacks squared off! To me it feels more like a 2011 frame. warpspeed
I love the square look.
Aircooled6racer
Hello: You guys are killing me. He wants the square trigger guard. It is harder to cut the inside of guard than the outside. Oh well. Thanks, Eric
splashdown
Why cut it at all? Looks fine to me as is.
Larry White
Round would be better for holster selection. Square looks ok. I like those slide cuts.----------------Larry
boz1911
I always thought round looked better, but neither has an effect on the shooting so leave it square for now and change it later if you want.
RIIID
Holsters don't seem to be a problem for squared trigger guards. I would cut the inner portion to the same thickness as the rest. Squared trigger guards done properly will give more room for the trigger finger to operate. I like to move the front portion forward on the frame. Aircooled6racer
Hello: Seems like my son has been talking to you guys. He likes the square trigger guard with the inside squared just like the ones TGO uses. I have a holster that fits already. The Comp-Tac belt holster for a STI Eagle fits great and a Blade Tech for the same works. The Blade Tech DOH I have for a full dust cover 6" 2011 works as well. Time to mount it in the Bridgeport and mill that puppy out. Thanks, Eric
Duane Thomas
give the kid what he wants. Time to mount it in the Bridgeport and mill that puppy out. Obviously, you have made the right choice. Even if he winds up using the squared trigger guard for nothing but the cool factor....if it makes him happy, who cares?
