Additionally this is the same gun I started shooting with in 1987 when I was a member of the Western NY Practical Pistol League. Some addition since then such as the BT Grip Safety (Have the hammer bite scars to prove its worth), New hammer and a SA Magwell. The pistol was a SA Custom Shop purchase in 1987 and mods completed by them as well. BTW I am also shooting a GSG1911-22 for rimfire SCSA Matches. (In honor of SS) Thank you for your consideration. If there was a tie, it would have been determined by who had the fastest time. My time was, as usual, slooooow. So even if I'd gotten that extra nail and tied you there, you'd have beaten me on time. I am proud of being firmly ensconced in my 1911 roots. 1911 was my first pistol and since has always been my preference. Shot a Revo Model 66 service pistol as a duty weapon in late 80s, albeit not by my choice. Just did not feel as comfortable as a trusty ol' Slabside. I shot my David Cupp Custom Single Stack today in a side pistol match at a 3 gun match in Copperas Cove, Texas. I won the match and finally beat Steve J. It only took me a little over 3 years.
