ErikW
The organizers of the 2003 Best of the Best match gave each competitor a CD with photos of the competitor shooting a stage. Those of you who are technically able, how about scaling down the pictures (to under 600 pixels wide or so) and posting them in replies to this thread? Send them to ShooterGrrl if you don't have web space. Picures lost, maybe only temporarily. Edited November 20, 2004 by Erik Warren
Nolan
Yeah, Ray Solomon took some great photos! Your earplugs ain't doing much good with your mouth open Erik. Here's a couple of mine. The magic bullet from "The Thin Red Line" walk the plank stage. A close-up of the gun/bullet. Brass flying, gun unlocked, white knuckles (and I never knew my thumb bent that way!) from "Master of Disguise" aka the Outhouse stage. The HoserCam about to witness a hapless no-shoot plugged front & center? Nope, missed it by....that much. Now I know why both my open and limited blasters have cracked grips. SiG Lady
EXCELLENT shots! Bullet-on-the-fly and everthing! Tasty.
tightloop
SiG Lady If you are only shooting at 650 fps, you can see the bullet, and get it in focus and in frame at F1.8 @ 125th. Just kiddin'... Try a 115gr at 1375fps...
ErikW
That's got to be previously-ejected brass in front of and off to the side of Nolan's gun. His gun is about .25" from lockup. The bullet would be long gone by then. And no comments about Nolan's sub-Minor loads being slow, please!
Run n Gun
I think that'd be about right if the gun was UNLOCKING, not enough slide movement (yet) to eject the empty. Besides, the gas cloud looks pretty convincing! Ed
