tk4
I have been running the standard sti magwell for a while now, and someone pointed out that other magwells out there have a better funnel for smoother reloading. Will a better magwell, maybe the dp ice, speed my reloads, or should I spend the money elsewhere?
TreblePlink
The Dawson ICE is very popular. I have one on my Edge, and haven't seen a better one.
G-ManBart
The ICE is pretty much the standard by which all others are judged, with good reason. I don't think it will speed your reloads any, but it will save some that aren't quite perfect. It simply gives you a little more margin of error. AlamoShooter
I you have normal to larger size hands it will help you get more (hands) on the grip and push your Strong hand higher.
scirocco38s
Or you might not like it at all. I have tried the Ice and went back to the Sti magwell. It is what fits your hand to the gun that is more important. Dryfiring and reload drills will make the reloads better. There is no magic magwell that make reloads better than practice. There are magwells that fit your and better.
splashdown
I agree with the above. I just traded my Ice for a stainless STI magwell because it allows my hand to fit the grip better.
grandbagger
take a look at brazos big mouth magwell
Kingman
I prefer the standard STI magwell to any others I have tried as it seems to fit my hand well. With the ice I almost feel like it is trying to pinch my hand.
CDRODA396
I prefer the EGW magwell for its deeper/steeper sides...the only drawback is it is made out of a softer alluminum than most and the insides will eventually get pretty chewed up if you practice alot. Easily sanded smooth though.
