sfinney
+1 Why? They are made extremely well, last forever, and are reasonably priced like all of their stuff.
Run n Gun
+2 EGW's "oversize slide stop" isn't really oversize but made to the maximum spec. Ed (edited for stupid typing) Edited November 12, 2007 by Run n Gun
DrShooter
EGW cause it fixed the PT1911 from jamming itself
Joe4d
another EGW vote. I have had recent problems with 1911 parts from two other well known vendors. These two were considered top of the line for a number of years. In my opinion only it may be due to worn tooling.
Carlos
EGW, by far. Are there any other makers? The TZs were infamous for breaking slide stops at 175+ PF 9x21mm. Gun building and lighter recoil springs helped. The EGW slide stop cures it. We are talking Tanfoglio and CZ, right?

I expected a lot of EGW replies, but never imagines this much. I really like Georges sears too.

Yup only gripe I ever had is that they make their magwells out of the softest metal on this planet.
HSMITH
LOL, the magwells are made of aluminum colored butter, but they load sooooo nice. Probably part of it is that the metal is soooo soft that you just can't hang a mag if you get it somewhere inside of the magwell. I finally have enough of them to switch all of my guns over, I strayed for a while but want to get back on the straight path.....
Jasonub
when my pistol was made i used an svi and had it fit with it. after 30,000 rounds i replaced it with an egw and the lockup became tighter.
el pres
I just had my STI break, is this common?? I ordered the EGW... It seems that it may have bent at first then broke off as for the last couple of weeks certain mags would not lock back and then it broke. Could this be from overloading my mags??? And where did that hunk of metal go????
