Kingman Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 This is my 5" open gun. Currently coated with gunkote of however you spell it. It has a lot of rounds of ammo put through it. Some nice milling done, but it gets used and used heavily. Turns out that gunkote does not hold up well on comps. It also does not hold up against my thumb riding along the slide. The gun on the left was once Strader's main limited .40. Notice the magazine well? Not one hint of the original black anodizing left on the chute. We should all aspire to that level of dry fire.
