G-ManBart
Hey all, Just picked up a new 610-3 and need to get more moon clips for it. Who's making good ones? I know pretty much nothing about them so any info will help!
scooterj
The 610 moonclips from Dillon work just fine for me. Winchester .40 S&W brass seems to be the best fit.

sargenv
I'm quite partial to the RIMZ moons myself. You can bend them and they will not bind your cylinder since they are made from a polymer. I switched away from metal moons last year for the 610 since too many times I've had my metal ones stepped on and ruined. They don't work all that well in other calibers, but for the 610, there is enough material that they work fine and can be held in the same style in moon clip belt holders as the metal ones. I have 30 of them and want some more. The other advantage is not needing any tools to clip/unclip them. Edited August 28, 2007 by sargenv

10mmdave
The clips sold by Brownells works well with Winchester 10mm and Winchester 40 S&W brass, not great at all with FC brass. As stated, Hearthco's are the best, and you could get them sized to the brass you use the most I believe. Hey Sarg ??? do you use those RIMZ's with 40 brass or 10mm brass ??? I tried some a long time ago in 40 brass and didn't have great luck.

Jaxshooter
I had mine made locally by a friend who is a tool and die maker. You need to pick a brand of brass and stick with it and have the clips made for that brass. I have tried the Brownells clips with mixed brass and they would not hold some brands, to loose. UW Mitch
I bought mine from Ranch Products. They seem a little loose, but are working for what I need as far as I can tell. Price wasn't too bad either, $50/100. ~Mitch
mattbeck
I really like my Heartco moon clips. They take almost all of the wobble out of the clips, and tend to make more consistent reloads.
Yardbird
The Brownells clips wouldn't hold Starline 10mm without flopping all over the place. I've used the RIMZ on 10mm and 40SW with excellent results. So far I love the RIMZ clips.
sargenv
I've shot them with both. Actually it's probably been some years and they were re-designed to be stiffer than the first batch. One batch is only $7.50 for 5, what's to lose? 1 Hearth moon is like $7 or $8.
TonyT
The Ranch Products moonclips for either $50 or $75/100 (I forget which) work well and are reasonably priced.
