Neither, there is a reason they are called Bonefish

Being I am in India, and this one is for the hunters out there, IF there was a huntable population of Tigers, would you want to hunt one, or not?

short?????

:surprise:

If you are gonna shoot a magnum, may as well go the distance!!!!

.300 Weatherby or .300 Win Mag.????

.300 Win Mag. Remington or Winchester?

Poor choice

Weatherby was the right answer!!! Much better ballistics and punch. It is the true one rifle for everything in North America.

Does dangerous game appeal to you, or not?

Poor choice Z

- The difference in those two is not night and day.... and for the cost of the ammo. I would have to go 300 Win too...

- As for Winchester or Remington.... Remington all the way.... B)

- Dangerous game..... yes

- Bullet construction....

traditional ( soft lead core..expanding)

.338"?

Nice caliber, but not a great single rifle caliber choice. Too much drop for the sometimes long range shooting of the American West.

The .300 Weatherby send a 180 grainer down range at about 3000 fps with plenty of upclose energy with proper bullet construction for Brown and Polar Bears.

You guys just don't seem to see the value of the Weatherby Calibers. Are they expensive to shoot, sure, but how many rounds do you actually shoot each year in a hunting situation?

As for necked down calibers, the 30-378 is as good as it gets. But I have doubts about the life expectancy of the barrels with such high velocities.

So, bolt or MOR?

Bolt.

But 338 Talbot is surely flatter than the 300 anything.

300grainer at 4300fps. :surprise:

Not very portable I will admit with a 34" barrel. Barrel life is a little poor (500rounds).

So obviously you choose smaller than .338"

Weatherby cartridge it is then.

Secondary Question

Weatherby rifle or not?

If not not (yes) MarkV or Vanguard

Tertiary Question?

examples of others HS Precision, Ed Brown, McMillan, Kenny Jarrett

Which one?

Z - how was the Curry and go Mr Brown, didn't he do well?

Hate golf, love Kiwi's winning.

My 2 .300's are Weatherby calibers, but in a Remington 700 rifle, my .378 is a Weatherby MarkV I believe

HS for me

Yep it was a nice win for him, I was the one who interviewed him afterwards if you were watching.

Tandoori, or curry?
