steel1212 Posted March 21, 2011 Author Share Posted March 21, 2011 Went into this match with a positive game plan. Was going to be aggressive when I could and slow it down when needed. I did my part but old worn out part decided to give up the ghost....at a major match. The stages that I didn't have gun issues with I felt I shot pretty good. I was top 10 Overall with my SS on one stage as well. Ended up 1st Master though but with those 3 bad stages it wasn't even a good game from my end. I have a couple weeks until BITB so I've got to get my gear together. I think I'm starting to peak performance wise though so if my gear will play nice I'll be game. steel1212 Posted April 4, 2011 Author Share Posted April 4, 2011 Battle in the Bluegrass. Still came home with 1st Master Plaque and 2nd Overall but its definately not what I wanted. I had 4 mikes on the day and only one of them was a really hard shot, just unacceptable! I had another double feed and have pulled that magazine completely. Hopefully that will be the end of that. I think I've put probably close to 20k through these mags and I always run 1-7 in that same order so the first mags are getting the brunt of the load. I've switched my order and now I"m running 7-1 as well to use the mags that don't get used as often first. I went 160A/55C/7D/4M That is to many Cs and lower. The match winner only had 44C and 6Ds. The mikes of course where the down fall. I think every other of the top 10 had one and the winner shot clean and that was the difference. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Didn't really feel good when I got to the range and then it was cold and rainy and now I don't feel good at all. Eh a day of shooting is better than a day of staying home right? I wasn't going to shoot today after being on my feet for 10 hours straight yesterday but just had to get out and put some rounds down range. It was a classifier match with one field stage. I think I put down a couple of mid 90s on it though. Freaking shot all the classifiers first and my mind didn't make it to the field stage lol, should have reloaded after the center but forgot, still came out with a better hit factor than I would have with the mike. steel1212 Posted May 23, 2011 Author Share Posted May 23, 2011 Came in 2nd place by .089%, less than a point. When its that close I can blame any little thing. The biggest one was stage one when I grazed the steel target but it didn't fall and it activated a swinger so I couldn't take the chance that it wouldn't pass calibration. steel1212 Posted May 24, 2011 Author Share Posted May 24, 2011 Got about 300 rounds down range today on the new SS blaster! The thing is a freaking tack driver! I'm not the best at shooting groups, one thing I'm working on, but want2race put down a rediculas group free hand at 15 yards. Once I get her broke in a bit she'll be hitting the matches with me. For now she needs a bit more loving before she is ready for the race.
