dirtypool40
I've always heard the EGW, SV and if you like gadets, Briley Spherical bushings were the shizzle. It didn't come with one?
Aircooled6racer
Hello: I like the EGW angled bushing in stainless. You can polish it or leave it dull. They don't take alot of fitting like some other bushings I've seen. As a side note Benny Hill just built a pistol like yours for Larry White. You may do a search to see what it looks like. Hope this helps. Thanks, Eric
wide45
I'd talk to the guy building the gun about the bushing he likes to use.
HSMITH
I use the EGW anglebore bushings exclusively these days. MGW makes a great bushing, but much hard to fit.
Larry White
Benny put a Ed Brown bushing in my single stack. Not a lot of diffrence in the better name brands. You have listed a Egw stainless bushing in your list, should work just fine.----------Larry
Joe4d
My para is wearing a wilson combat, soon to be Ed Brown as I ordered a new barrel that comes with a Bushing, I never realized I should think about bushing brand, One I wont reccommend is the Wilson Combat, No mechanical problems but it has "WILSON" engraved on the front and looks like an 8 year old with his Fisherprice engraver set did the engraving. cking
Bushing brand doesn't matter much. Except the Briley. So mic your barrel and slide and then look through the spec's in brownells and you'll find one that fits your needs. Like I needed a .581/.702 and I think wilson came with those specs. Thus very little fitting needed and nice and tight.
JFD
Ed Brown for me when I get sick of the removal/installation technique needed for the EGW angle bored melt bushing that I have for the "cool" factor on my Limited Para. My other 1911s all have Ed Brown bushings as well. I also prefer Ed Brown extractors.
