AlamoShooter
Live free or die hard. The state does not have a catch for us out of state guys coming in with our high cap mags & non aproved guns that we legaly own in our own state. It is ilegal to 'sell', give away, trade or louse any of our mags. I have not check in the past two years but the Steel Challenge has some good links for info too. shred
You can bring an "assault pistol" (a racegun with threaded barrel) into CA, if you're going to a match. You still can't bring "assault mags" with you.

Brazos SC Shooter
Can't comment on the laws in California. I have recently become very familiar with those in the state of New York.

uscbigdawg
Hey dude, You can bring any firearm, tested or not into the state (non-NFA weapons). No high-cap mags though. You can even register them legally (handguns and most long guns) in the state, if you're moving from out of state. Rich
ChuckS
Yup, What Rich said. The list is just for guns for sale. You can bring most anything in , you just can't sell them. Or more correctly, we can't buy them. Mags are a problem
