I think I have a new design, but I think it may already be in use// Edited November 27, 2006 by half inch groups
Chris Keen
Why can't you just take a regular slide racker and turn it around ??
cpty1
Something like a Sidewinder can't be turned around and used by a lefty. The one Dawson makes can be. It's an ambi slide racker, either by design or coincidence.
edwin garcia
I use Dawson's racker mounted on a dovetail cut on rear of the slide. Works well for me.
shred
I use the Dawson rackers as well, but long ago somebody made a T-shaped racker that fit into a sight dovetail of some sort. I don't know if they're still around.

n2ipsc
Limcat Custom has a sweet racker... HERE is a picture of same on my DragonCat... Makes a nice "kickstand," too, for those "lying flat and unsupported" table starts

dansy
I'm using the Sidewinder on one of my gun.....Dan Bedell, just reversed it and made some cut on the reversed side so I got some grip.....work like a charm, my other one is the one SVI sell... austinkroe
"If it saves only one slide-down-on-an-empty-chamber-off-the-table-start stage," it's worth it... Heck, if it was legal I might put one on my limited gun. Easier table starts. If you do have a jam or other problem I think it makes it easier to clear (no missing the grip on the slide or acidentally covering the ejection port). The gun can be built perfectly but the gunsmith cannot control your ammo, mags, dirtyness of the gun, etc. jams can and do happen to all types guns no matter how well built. I say put one on there. As far as the lefty thing goes: EGW makes a few that are like the AR and some reversable ones too. Here Rock River makes some. Here Brownells has one. Here Hope this helps.
