1/2 Scale Cardboard Target Source?

Old School

Recommended Posts

In preparation for next Spring, when the Sun returns and we can again venture outdoors, a group of us are planning to hold weekly indoor matches using airsoft guns.

The idea is to find cardboard targets that are 2/3 or 1/2 scale of an official USPSA target. The goal is aim small, miss small and because of the amount of space, the smaller targets will make it more challenging. I checked with a few of the target suppliers, and unless I missed them, I don't see any listed.

Anyone have a source for such targets? If you setup a similar matches, please let us know what you do and what you have learned.

Regards,

Scott

I have 1/3 scale IDPA and USPSA targets, in .PDF and .JPG format. I have printed them out on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and used them for practice with Airsoft guns. You will have to attach them to something like a plain piece of cardboard, but they work just fine. I'll e-mail them to you if you like.

Scott,

A few years ago I was on business travel in the UK and I hooked up with a practical shooting club in Chelmsford England. The shoot what they call "mini-rifle" where they do IPSC matches with race 10-22s. (They can't have handguns by law). They were using 1/3 scale cardboard targets. I will try and find out where they got them.

Later,

Chuck

The airsoft will break the cardboard, that is not the problem. At $.95 each, that can be a problem. :D

Once we decide on target, paper versus cardboard, I will send Chris an e-mail to see if he can work us a bulk price.

Thanks to all for your help!

I know that Chris will appreciate the volume. :) Do keep in mind that the cutting die was not cheap. $1ea will look really cheap after you factor in what it takes to get a die tooled up and amortize it over the targets you will use.

But by all means do pump up Chris' volume so he can reap the bennies of mass production and pass it on.
