Old School Posted October 19, 2006 Share Posted October 19, 2006 In preparation for next Spring, when the Sun returns and we can again venture outdoors, a group of us are planning to hold weekly indoor matches using airsoft guns. The idea is to find cardboard targets that are 2/3 or 1/2 scale of an official USPSA target. The goal is aim small, miss small and because of the amount of space, the smaller targets will make it more challenging. I checked with a few of the target suppliers, and unless I missed them, I don't see any listed. Anyone have a source for such targets? Genghis Posted October 19, 2006 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I have 1/3 scale IDPA and USPSA targets, in .PDF and .JPG format. I have printed them out on 8 1/2 by 11 paper and used them for practice with Airsoft guns. You will have to attach them to something like a plain piece of cardboard, but they work just fine. ChuckS Posted October 19, 2006 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Scott, A few years ago I was on business travel in the UK and I hooked up with a practical shooting club in Chelmsford England. The shoot what they call "mini-rifle" where they do IPSC matches with race 10-22s. (They can't have handguns by law). They were using 1/3 scale cardboard targets. Do keep in mind that the cutting die was not cheap. $1ea will look really cheap after you factor in what it takes to get a die tooled up and amortize it over the targets you will use.
