Just curious, :D

Here in our local club, we don't have any prizes, just trophies, that's it. :( It was discussed that it could lead into a bad situation if prizes were at stake. :P So im just curious what kind of prizes do people have up for grabs in your local matches. :)

We give "Shooter Bucks" which are good for a discount at the next match you shoot at our range. $10 for 1st in class or division HOA (if at least 3), $7 for second in class (if at least 5) & $5 for 3rd place (if at least 7).

Since the only place you can spend these are for registration fees at the next local match, they bring shooters back.

The first time you win something you get a plaque cut in the shape of a metric target to hang on your wall. After that, you get smaller engraved plates that attach to the plaque for every win. The wooden plaque is a little pricey but it's probably worth it when you think about how much free advertisement you're getting when someone hangs one on their office wall. Once a shooter fills their first plaque, they pay for the next one if they want to keep going. Makes a nice way to track your progress and be able to see at a glance when you moved from C Class to B Class, etc.

Emanuel Bragg with Pro-Tech takes care of all of our plaque/trophy needs for us and I can't recommend him enough. All you need to do is send him a quick e-mail with the information for the plates, how many plaques you need, etc. and they arrive in the mail that week. First class service all the way.
