9milli
Glock 34, broken mos plate screw. Head popped off. I've done all the usual things that's supposed to work, drilled, heated, easy out, etc. Now there is a hardened piece of drill bit in the hole of the stuck screw, broke off of course. I assume full responsibility for my actions.....lol Does anyone have personal experience with a gunsmith the can fix the screw-up? Thanks
MauleN12VR
If you have a local machine shop with EDM capability, they can get it out pretty easily. Just take them the bare slide.

MikeBurgess
I have had good luck drilling out broken taps and or drills with small diamond core drills, this 1/16 drill has removed 3 #5 taps for me I was using it in a mill but with some care it could be done by hand in a Dremel. https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Coated-Core-Drill-2-0mm/dp/B002863QEQ
Braxton1
Returning it to the factory in Smyrna is an option also.
shred
Lifesavers in the gunsmithing world for broken screws-- left handed drill bits, cheap tiny carbide PCB mills and TIG welders. On a mill, a LH drill bit will often crank a screw right back out since it pulls in the unscrew direction. Failing that, drill it with carbide (that will also go through the HSS drill bit stuck in there by now) and if that doesn't work, stick a bit of welding rod down the drill hole and give it a quick tap with the TIG to fuse the screw and rod into a handle you can grab.
