I'm loading Hoosier 9mm 124 rn bullets. To get them to plunk I need to load them to 1.050. Is that too short?

Well if they feed and you reduced charge , why not ? What gun ?  Ben a  long time but I went down to that with some round noses like that for a Walther 99 something or other,, Went to another bullet

If it feeds, makes PF and doesn’t give you pressure indications… send it.

Same issue with my kimber 1911 9mm and 124 jhp's MG/xtp's 1.060 max.

My Faxon 9mm AR barrel was the same way until I had it reamed.

I have 148gr Outdoorsman RimRock loaded to 1.045”.  The max length in my Glock 34 & CZ shadow is 1.075”

SAMMI spec is 1.00 minimum so you are good to go.
