Competition vs. Carry?

I shoot my gen 3 17 /sro for CO and carry the same. I’ll occasionally swap in my 19/Rmr. I may swap to a gen 5 17 or 19 with EPS to give closed emitters a long term shot but I’ll need a thousand or so rounds through the set up first.

Competed with a G17 for a while and carried a 19 during that time

I compete with a 45 and carry either the 45 or a 48

Compete with 34-5 mos SRO or 17-5 mos SRO, carry 26-5 mostly and 19x a little

Competed with G34.4 in Prod/CO and carried a G26.5 with an RMR. I recently switched to Sig's but I might go back to Glock.

There is no exact answer - There's a GM out there that shoots a glock 26 in carry optics and there's people that carry the glock 34.
