Sounds like a good plan. I’d recommend practicing different ranges and positions with an elevated heart rate as well (on the clock and not), some induced stress to try and replicate match stress as much as possible in a practice format.

It has been working out great for me for Base class. Once you get it broken in, the action smooths out or else you can swap for a different bolt. For me, the rifle loves CCI Standard Velocity too- suppressed or not. IMHO, it’s a phenomenal option for Base class or to just get started in NRL22 to decide which way you wanna go or how much to spend lol. The Bushnell Match Pro and Vortex Strike Eagle are both great economy options that do everything you need them to and won’t break the bank.

Funny enough, I plan to use TommyGuns to build my middy Open gun.

I have a Cheely Lite Open frame that I’ll be using for a 9Major middy open build. But I’m curious what length slide and barrel I’ll need to use for my intended build? I plan to use a KKM .355 Govt 4.65” C/P Ramped Threaded 11/16x40 barrel and a tungsten 2-port comp. Any problems with these components for the build or are there better options? Any recommendations or pics are appreciated.

Like it says, I’m working on a build list for a middy 9Major Open gun. Curious how you folks rate and compare the current offerings available on the market and if there is truly any noticeable or significant difference. What are your folks’ thoughts?

All things considered, I think you'd be better off in the long run picking up a Brazos Open shortblock kit and going from there.

You may want to consider looking at the MPA DS9 options as well as Deep River Customs various offerings.

I have good luck with the Wilson 10rd ETM/Elite Tactical & the Tripp Cobra 10rd.

It doesn't matter, all firearms used in Limited Optics are scored Minor anyway.

I currently use of the Venom 5-25x56 for my NRL22 rifle build...it's holding up really well, holds zero, and tracks really well. For my uses, it's been great but I do wish it had lockable turrets like my Strike Eagle.

No issues or problems with my Romeo3 Max/XL's or the FTP Alpha 3. Waiting for one of the Holosun 507Comp's to try as well.

Toolless...I've always used Dawson put plan to try one of the Atlas ones for my Prodigy LO setup to try.

I have all three...140, 155 & 170. Find myself using mostly the 140's and 170's in match settings.
