Peter K
Hi, I want to try some Hornady HAPs in my SVI Open gun (.38SA). Anybody got an idea about load, OAL and Primers? I want to use N350 or N105 to reach major. I cannot find the HAPs on the Hornady website. Why are these fine bullets not listed? Carlos
If your gun does NOT have hybrid holes, N105 is terrific. You will probably not like it otherwise. OAL - as long as possible; N105 will fill the case, be compressed & still not produce pressure signs. Takes a bunch to reach major; will look at my data after work. SRT Driver
I shoot a 38 Sup Open gun with a 4 port EGW comp and no hybrid holes. The load that works in this gun is 7.7 N350 at 1.265 OAL. Comes out to 172 PF.
DJPoLo
I cannot find the HAPs on the Hornady website. Why are these fine bullets not listed? They are on Hornady's web site here.. And on Midway's site here. -Chet
vettman1
So my question is.... are the 9mm .355 or .356. I've seen references to both. Anyone have any they can check?
XRe
According to the Hornady website that Chethro so kindly posted, they are .356.............. Additionally, Hornady makes a point of mentioning HAPs as .356, whereas their 9mm bullets are .355.... Trust the manufacturer - unless you can find samples to mic yourself.... Sherwyn
I have used 121 HAP's from cases marked .355 and from cases marked .356. At one time was told you could special order them either way. Mine did not matter how the case was marked - they always checked at .356.

shred
Hornady can't seem to decide what to label the HAPs; .355 or .356. I have cases of both 121s and 125s labelled with each size and the bullets from either are identical to my micrometer.
XRe
Just got a brand new case of 125gr HAPs from shread. The box says .355. The bullets measure .356. Go figure....
