Hperea
Questions for those knowledgeable SVI and other 2011 shooters. 1-Does the grip safety feature gets disable on svi wide body 2011 pistols? 2-Is this an option on the gunbuilder site or is standard? The ones I have seem in videos and pics, the grip safety seems to be even with the main spring housing. I apologize for the lack of knowledge in the subject matter. Unless something has changed, you have the option of a non-pivoting billet grip safety, which took the place of the old way of pinning a grip safety. Or you can request a functioning grip safety for IDPA, Carry use, etc.
Hperea
Furrly & RangerTrace thank you so much for your answers. What is the relation/connection between the non-pivoting billet grip safety and the "billet infinity optifit thumb safety"? Does the last one add safety if the pistol has a non-pivoting billet grip safety?

Hperea
Thank you guys. I called SVI and like Rangertrace mentioned; You have the option to ask for a grip safety or not.
Mike21STI
Don't the "signature" grips come with a non functioning grip safety?
Mike21STI
My reason for suggesting the signature grip is that atlas makes a helios model with the cheely e2 grip that also has a non functioning grip safety and ithey claim it is legal for IDPA. If the signature grip is the same (similar profile) then it may be legal for IDPA use as well

427Cobra
Every aspect of the build is customizable, if you want a functional grip safety or not just specify, I went with a pinned non functional grip safety.
