What Rudy inserts?

Looking to order some Rudy Rydon with rx insert. They have two options. The semi rimless plastic and the metal frames. Not being able to try them I'm having a hard time deciding. There isn't much info widely available on the inserts. I'm sure we can find a Rudy sponsored shooter to chime in.

I have the plastic semi rimless insert. It works fine. Recently had the lenses changed in it, which turned out okay. It stays put, but is difficult to remove and reinsert without getting finger smudges on the lenses.

 

Have never tried the metal framed inserts so cannot help you there.

Not Rudy Sponsored, but i have the rimless. Works great.

I have two of the metal inserts. One has my regular prescription and bifocals. The other has the full distance prescription in the left and the right is set for my front sight. It really helps with my pistol sighting.

I have the plastic semi rimless, they work fine but is a bit “tricky” to insert into the frame. They are pretty sturdy though.

I have two of the metal inserts.  I did not know there was another, I may try it next.  I would say the metal inserts are not perfect but adequate.

I got rimless works great just have to get used to. Usually put them on at least half hour before match to get used to
