emjei
What OAL would you set them with Tite GroupOAL depends (at least for me) the size of the bullet How long is the bullet you have ?? It's really important that you run The Plunk Test, and determine Your Maximum OAL in your gun with these new bullets. Every time you switch bullets, you need to do it again. emjei
0.646What a coincidence.....I have DG Bullets 147gr (that I highly recomend with FB15 cupon code) that measures that.646 and I load them at 1.125.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

It's not only the length of the bullet that matters - it's also the shape. They may both be 0.646" long, but be different shapes, and therefore require different OAL's to feed properly in Your Gun
rowdyb
yep oal is so dependent on other factors that what i tell you is almost worthless.
Jim Watson
OAL is determined by bullet in magazine, ramp, and chamber. Powder brand does not affect OAL. OAL can affect powder charge. My usual routine is to pick a middle of the road load, tinker with OAL for feeding, then adjust powder charge for power factor. Actually, I haven't moved my seating die plug in some time. Nose shape means OAL varies, but everything thus far has fed ok. Including 115 gr JHP, HAP, RN, 135 RN, 147 RN and FP. Flat points were an error by the vendor but they feed in the two guns I am shooting the most. I will try his roundnose after the Christmas rush. RAP
I've shot thousands of ACME 147 FP NLG bullets out of my CZ P09. My recipe is 3.2 grains Sport Pistol, Winchester Small Pistol Primers, 1.125" OAL, mixed range brass. You will need to check your OAL for your gun.
