  1. I agree! I like mine a lot. It’s not perfect, but what progressive press is. They all have quirks and such.
  2. My current holster is DAA Alpha X. I am interested in the Everglades holstered.
  3. I have listened to the first NROI podcast. Haven’t listened to any since then. Frankly, I’m not sure how I feel about it. I recognize I need to listen to more of their podcast in order to give it a fair assessment.
  4. I have used the DPP 7.5 triangle for the past 4years on my carry optics guns. The size of the big triangle dot is very easy for my eyes to pick up. However, the large triangle made far and tough shots on hard cover and no shots harder. I switched to the Crimson Trace 3.25” dot and while I could make the tougher shots easier and more precise. My eyes did not pick up the smaller dot as fast. Although it wasn’t that much slower. I am now using the DPP 6 MOA dot and for me it’s the right balance of size for ease of seeing the dot and small enough the far and tough shots are not an issue. As for the window size. The DPP has a much larger window then the Crimson Trace. But I did not have any problem with the smaller Crimson Trace window. I practiced shooting hard leans and positions so it wasn’t any problems.
  5. B_RAD is right. Bought 2 Pro Mags, horrible. I use the Pro Mags for dry fire only. For dry fire they work just fine.
  6. I two Canik TP9SFx. One with a Racer style and one with the Champion style. Personally I can’t tell a difference between the two. I like them both and they are a great trigger the the Canik.

The tungsten guide rod is the second best upgrade in my Canik's. First is the Freedom Smith triggers.
  8. I have 2 Canik TP9SFx pistols. And they both are set up the same. The ultimate Canik TP9SFx combination for me is. Freedom Smith Triggers W74 Tungsten guide Rods 14 pound Commander recoil springs 29 Newton striker spring Taylor Freelance brass backstraps. My load is 147 grain Blue Bullet on top of 3.2 grains Sport Pistol.

Sprinco makes a guide rod assembly. I tried it and it was hands down better then factory set up. But I prefer the W74.

I use a 14 pound Wolff recoil spring. I tried 12,13 and 15 pound springs. 14 felt the best to me with my load. I know some guys use and like the lighter springs without issues. As far as the recoil spring for your load. That’s something you will need to workout. If I was starting out with your load today. I would do the same I did before and get 12,13,14 and 15 pound springs and see which one I like and is 100% reliable.

I use tungsten guide rods from W74. They are made for the Canik and work great. If I remember correctly they add 2 ounces over the factory guide rod. I have them in both of my Canik TP9sSFx. https://www.w74guiderods.com/

Fits great. No adapter needed. I think the tungsten guide rod makes a nice improvement to the Canik. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I had Arsenal Molds make a 5 cavity 9mm mold for a 147 grain profile similar to Blue Bullets and ACME and a 40 cal mold for 180 Bullets. Both molds are no lube groove and have performed great. I think they are worth checking out. The link below is for the 9 mm bullet. http://arsenalmolds.com/products?product_id=125 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  17. A friend of mine had a knee replacement when he was 70. He has no issues with the replaced knee and can do more now then before the knee replacement. He told me the key to full recovery was in the physical therapy. Do the exercises the therapist tell you to do and how often and you’ll be running around before you know it. 18. I have this seating die for my 9 and 40 and use it with great success. However these dies are seating dies only and does not fully remove the bell on the cartridge case. I crimp separate and don’t have any issues related to seating the bullet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I have the racer in both of my SFX. I like really like them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I did the same upgrades to my Canik TP9SFx. I settled on the 14 pound recoil spring. It was really just personal preference. The brass base pads and back strap seemed to balance the gun. It is really easy to shoot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I tried a 15 pound recoil recoil spring with a 6.5 pound striker spring. Worked just fine. I see no reason using a 6 pound striker spring wouldn’t work. I settled on 14 pound recoil springs. BTW I put this guide rod in both my Canik TP9SFx. https://www.w74guiderods.com/
  22. I switched back to shooting Limited this year after shooting CO for 2 1/2 years. (Going to shoot Nationals). I am now learning to shoot a completely different platform. A 2011 compared to a striker fired gun for CO. Haven’t shot my Limited gun since I started shooting CO. Plus, I have to wear glasses to see my sights now. At times I find myself questioning the sanity of my decision. But, I’m bound and determined to be the terror of B class at Limited Nationals. I am A class in CO and B in Limited. I shoot CO much better. At least for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Like what others have said. Canik’s are over sprung. I put a tungsten guide rod from W74 and a 14 pound commander recoil spring in mine. It cycles everything. I shoot a 147 Blue Bullet at a 135 PF. Been ultra reliable and accurate. I put the Freedom Smith trigger in and it’s very sweet trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The blue is definitely higher weight. Not sure what it is, but it’s higher poundage. My loads have average 136 PF. With a 14 pound recoil spring the brass ejects about 5-6 feet. I tried a 13 pound recoil spring, it felt too light. Sluggish would be an appropriate description for how the slide felt when it went into battery. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
