Sterrance
So I have a P320 with a spinger precision guide rod and a 14lb recoil spring that I'm trying to get running for USPSA Carry Optics. I currently am shooting 115 gr reloads at just over 1100 fps (have bout 200 rounds I do know 124 gr is better and will switch to it) What have you all found works good for a 9mm load and recoil spring for minimal recoil? my length is 1.160 if thats important. Jeff_Alan
I have dropped down to a 11lb spring from a 13lb. I like the 11lb better. Reloads with 135gn 1.14" length at 133pf. In my older P320 I have ran a 10lb with 147gn reloads with no problems.
rocket99
I use a 13# Wolff spring with 124gr coated lead at 135 PF for my CO gun
FortyOverUnder
I wonder if going as light as 11# would be bad for your optic. I don’t know or have any optics. I shoot a 40 in major and minor. I use a 12.5 for both.
George16
I’m using a 10# Wilson combat spring with springer precision’s tungsten guide for my 124 Gr FMJ, 1.135” OAL reloads at around 128-130 PF. Shoots flat and Romeo 1 is still working after about 6k rounds.
Dwbsig
I'm using a 12 lb 1911 spring with a .270 dia fat rod with 132 power factor 147 gr acme flat point bullets loaded to 1.150 I like it.
Wisemenofgotham
I’m using a 14lb ISMI recoil spring on a GG black fat guide rod, P320 X5 with ROMEO1, shooting Speer Lawman or Blazer 124g, both are 135PF. Works great, but I do wonder if a 13lb or 12.5lb spring would work even better.

sfinney
So you are getting a firm return to battery with a 10# even with the tighter fit of the X5 barrel?

No malfunctions. Brass just dribbles about less than a foot away from the gun. I can get back on target quicker too.
Sterrance
hey thanks for all the info! I guess I will order a calibration kit from wolf and give the lighter springs a try
BigGabe
I've been running a 12 pound ISMI spring with some light 124 and 115gr loads. Seems to work well and the cases no longer hit the Romeo upon ejecting.
