Street Survival
For all our competition shooters out there, what recoil spring weight would you recommend using for a Tungsten Guide Rod in a Gen 5, Glock 17? Stock is 17lbs. I plan on shooting factory ammunition and utilizing this for L.E. carry purposes also. *** Thank You all in advance for your anticipated sage assistance. rooster
If your running +p ammo I think I would stick with the 17 lb. Factory loads I might come down to 15lb. If your running competition loads at around 130 pf then I would run a 13 lb.

Agent #1911
I’d use the factory RSA for your purpose. Too many stories of tungsten rods breaking. With proper grip, the difference is moot
Sparky
I shoot a Glock 35 w/200 gr Zero bullets with an 11# ISMI Flat coil spring. Works great..................
