keonard
Specifically can I double stack the moon clips as shown. This is advertised as IDPA legal, however there is a question about the double stacking.....thanks!

eggman
As I understand the IDPA moonclip rules each moonclip is considered a loading device not the moonclip holder so I keep one post holder with two moonclips stacked in front of holster and one holder behind holster with two moonclips stacked (I use a strong hand reload ). I have used this configuration in Tier 2 match equipment inspections. Following is what I copied from the 2017 rulebook : E. Two speed loaders/moon clips may be worn directly in front of the holster. The speed loaders/moon clips worn in front of the holster must be within 1” of each other, and the speed loader/moon clip nearest the holster must be within 1” of the revolver pouch of the holster. Brian Gonsalves
I use two holders, both with two moonclips on them. One holder in front of the holster and one on the opposite side behind my hipbone. I use the top moonclip on the off side holder for the LAMR moonclip. Leaving 3 moons at the beep. I've shot many sanctioned matches including the S&W Indoor with this set up, no problem.
