MemphisMechanic
...And since you’ve only been around this group of shooters for a couple of weeks, offer to bring him to the range early so that one of the seasoned ROs can evaluate him to see if he’s ready. SoCalShooter69
Actually, Memphis brings up a thought I forgot to mention - get your RO cert. so you can run him.
Nathanb
As a match director I’d be all for letting him shoot 22 as long as he has the proper gear. Since it sounds like that’s the case he’d be fine at one of my matches. One thing we always seem to forget is shooting is fun and we need to work as ambassadors for our game. If we aren’t attracting youth we are failing

I've been around a lot for them for way longer than that, they know him or of him and I know it won't be an issue, but I might talk to Jim Bodkin a uspsa GM who owns the range and see if he will "evaluate" him just to be sure. They’re the thinnest on the market by far and incredibly well made. Wanted to update you and let you know I bought the egd grips and love them, he likes the feel but hasn't shot with them yet, thank you.
Kamkaze
I just wanted to update y'all because you were very helpful and I took your advise seriously. We have been training basic drills etc but he ventured out and shot his first USPSA match, although .22 isn't legal they allowed it because it was a match for beginners. Here are a few videos from the stages. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks again. BTW I am not sure why its putting links instead of embedding the videos. @johnbu @SoCalShooter69 @MemphisMechanic https://youtu.be/xXl8d9DMhdc https://youtu.be/Xb_7kOKD1d4 https://youtu.be/kndKE97MfTw https://youtu.be/iUMqLFEMxUQ some practice https://youtu.be/CNYLAT5TyVk Edited November 6, 2017 by Kamkaze
