IHAVEGAS
Wonder what (if any) effect there would be if you ream a barrel & then go back to bullets that do not need the extra headspace? I can't help but wonder if CZ sets dimensions like they do for a purpose.
Steve RA
Can't comment on CZs but in my 9mm 1911 I had the throat tapered fairly long - to match a dummy cartridge I sent with the barrel - and shooting shorter loads doesn't seem to have any effect on the accuracy. However, they are all individuals !!!
kneelingatlas
I've never seen accuracy degradation after reaming the throat, even when I did it with a drill bit

Was wondering about initial impact with the grooves at higher velocity and gas blow by, etc..

Requires me to load the shortest OAL from all others. I load 3.0gr of TG @ 1.10". It works on all my CZs/Tanfoglio no problem. I think your OAL is fine. I've been loading SNS 147s over 3.0gr of N320 at 1.100" like MrRick with no signs of overpressure. I was nervous at first too but it is perfectly fine.
