  1. Currently 5-40, but that can be changed easily enough with a bit and tap.
  2. Anyone run a PT optic mount with Infinity screws? Bought some of the fancy Infinity sight mount screws with matching grip and mag button screws. Didn’t know the sight mount screws were 6-40 until they arrived. I was planning to use a PT optic mount, just wondering if the larger screws/heads will work and sit flush or below the side of the optic mount. I use a thumb rest so the screws can’t be proud of the optic mount.
  3. Anyone here know if a paster gun will fit in the bladder pocket on the side of a DAA Rangepack Pro?
  4. Anyone had to replace an extractor on a Foxtrot Mike bolt? Is it just a standard AR-15 extractor? I was cleaning the wife’s PCC this weekend and noticed the extractor is gone. No extractor or spring, only the roll pin remains. She had a feeding problem, first stoppage in over 5k, on the second to last stage of our last match, ditched the start mag (ETS 30 rounder with MBX mini extension) and gun ran fine. The last stage was a short course so no need to use the 47 round mag, gun ran fine. I assumed it was a mag issue so I disassembled it when we got home and found the follower almost broken in two. Now that I have discovered that the extractor is gone, I’m thinking that may have played a part in the malfunction. Can these things run with no extractor?
  5. How are the new Lyman dies performing? Need a set of 9mm and they seem like the best option I can find right now.
  6. Should be perfectly fine as long as you don’t have a light hammer spring. Lots of open shooters use small rifle even when SPP are plentiful.
  7. Anyone here have a bullet tray on their 1100? I know it comes with the SDB bin that is supposed to be a bullet tray but the location is far from optimal. Hoping the S1050 bullet tray will work and get me by until I get a bullet feeder. Thanks.
  8. Perfectly normal. I would advise against cutting coils unless you go down in weight. Shortening a spring increases the rate effectively making it stronger than the stated weight that was measured at full length.
  9. The first time I handled a PT Evo grip I thought it would destroy my hands when shooting the gun. I distinctly remember feeling like I had to peel my hand off the gun to let it go. After the first day of shooting with one, I can't imagine using anything else. The aggressive E2 texture is very similar to the PT standard, PT and SVI aggressive are on another level. If you are accustomed to 20 LPI the swap to the E2 aggressive should be painless.
  10. I am a little crazy about making perfect ammo so my process is as follows: (1) Dirty, fired brass goes into the wet tumbler for 30 minutes to clean (2) Brass is removed from tumbler and dried (3) Lube with lanolin and alcohol and run through a prep toolhead with only a standard resizing die and a U-die (4) Brass is polished in the wet tumbler, lube removed (5) Brass is removed from tumbler and dried (6) Load ammo, no need for lube as all sizing is already complete This is way overkill and obviously takes much more time than is required. I enjoy spending too much time loading so it's not a chore for me. This process produces perfectly clean, lube free ammo and keeps my hands and press much cleaner so I prefer it, brass marking is much more effective on lube free cases as well. The same results, minus the sparkling clean press, could be achieved by dry tumbling loaded rounds as many have described above. I would just dry tumble after loading if I didn't shoot PD JHPs that pack full of media when tumbled.
  11. Anytime. You really can't go wrong with either one, they're great range bags.
  12. Not sure about the physical size comparison but I have the medium DAA pack and it has plenty of room for me. I bring a lot to the range, I’d guess around 30lbs after ammo. There is plenty of room available to pack it with more but if it got any heavier I would be looking into a cart. Almost everyone I know who uses this bag has the medium. The few who have the large also use DAA cart. Dimensions on the medium are 18.5”H x 12.2”W x 11.1”D. The pro is 21.5”H x 16”W x 12.5”D.

    Mag Pouches

Check out Red Hill Tactical. I have them on my production rig, couldn’t be happier.
  14. Starline has it in stock for $161.50/1000 with free shipping. Any reason why you are trying to avoid buying from Starline?
  15. Good deal. Thank you all.
  16. Just got a MPX for the wife, no clue what to buy for magazines. Are the 20 round mags good to have or should I just go with the 30s? Do you prefer to reload to a 20 or 30 rounder? I was thinking about 4 30 rounders with TTI extensions, looking for some insight from those in the know...
  17. I use red 272 and have to remove the comp and re-apply 3-4 times a year. I use it as an opportunity to completely tear the gun down and clean the bottom end. Just part of life shooting open.
  18. Ran a 6moa slide ride for years and recently switched to a 2moa 510c. The change to the smaller dot has made attaining same level of accuracy and shot calling much easier without affecting speed. I’m a big fan of the small dot.
  19. I’ll check it out. Thanks
  20. After measuring the breechface and extractor tunnel location I can confirm it is a 9/38 slide.
  21. I agree but that’s just not feasible. The first time it was sent back it was in for over a year just to replace the slide. Sent it back again after receiving a non-functional gun, it was in for another month and actually came back worse... I’ve gotten it to 99% reliable, just searching for that last 1%.
  22. Powder is Accurate #7. I started with a 7lb in the gun but It was returning a little high so I went to the 8lb.
