Was testing steel challenge load of 95gr bullet at 950fps which needed a CUT 6# recoil spring. The gun ran great with 135 gr 132pf loads, in fact it ran flat. ryridesmotox Posted November 1, 2016 Share Posted November 1, 2016 I honestly think it is different for every shooter. I like the 10lbs spring. The 8 seemed to be too sluggish. But I do hold kind of high with my off hand and I do get some meat of my paw on the slide. That might have more to do with it than a spring.
