bokbok_05
I know it was tackled thousand times here before but I am curious about your current setup in your limited/standard 2011 pistols. Let's say that you are shooting major (170pf), what is your preferred setup? lightened or not slides. Reason why I am asking is because I want to try an 11lbs recoil spring on a tungsten GR w/ shock buffer. Thanks. blaster113
5" or 6" slide? A 6" slide definitely has to be lightened. My current Limited gun has a lightened 5.5" slide, bull barrel, EGW 1 pc stainless guide rod and Wolff 12lb variable recoil spring. Most guys shooting .40 major use recoil springs in the 12-14lb range. I like the fast response of a lightened slide on both my Limited and Open guns. Ddipert
My 5" is not lightened (factory edge) but using a 10# spring and shock buffer, Dawson FLGR. My new gun will have a lightened slide, trying to lighten the whole gun up. Get a few springs to try it's worth the time to test a few out might ask around one of your shooting buddies might have a few different rates you could try.
