  1. They also make a stainless model with a better wood top than the power coated version. Last year decided to upgrade my press and add and auto drive the bench depth wasn't large enough for my new additions so it's not my general gun bench. The SS version around Christmas was around $150 which was deal i couldn't pass up. Either way it's a great bench for the money and should server you well for years to come.
  2. Yes I'm using one shot or no case lube. Guess it's possible, loaded 500 rounds that session and only found this one as bad.
  3. Not sure if this is the right area or not but figure it's a reloading issue. Was shooting a match over the weekend. Pull the trigger the recoil felt different. Cycled the slide thinking I might have a squib pulled back the slide unburned powder all over the place. Cleared the gun and went to check for a squib. No squib but it's got me wondering what happened? Don't understand how the bullet would have exited the barrel with all the unburned powder STI edge 180gr 5.2N320 with federal primers
  4. My 5" is not lightened (factory edge) but using a 10# spring and shock buffer, Dawson FLGR. My new gun will have a lightened slide, trying to lighten the whole gun up. Get a few springs to try it's worth the time to test a few out might ask around one of your shooting buddies might have a few different rates you could try.
  5. The "tap" was the slide almost in battery? Or was the round not stripped from the mag leaving the slide almost at slide lock?
  6. Can anyone tell what sight is on the front of this STI pistol? This sight was on a Benny Hill/STI 2011 that I bought last year. The sight works great, seems to pickup more light then a Dawson. Thanks for the help. Dave
  7. Looking for a USPSA match near the strip between March 6-11.
  8. Brass hammer is how I bend the lips in on my mags. Tap lightly until you get the feel for how much they bend.
  9. I received an email from them yesterday saying the site should be ready for orders today jan 31. Checked this morning but I don't see anything different or a way to order.
  10. I very sparing use PayPal. They closed my account while Afghanistan, they wanted me to prove who I was by sending them a copy of my id. I advised them where I was and that's would when I returned but they we not sympathetic to my issue of not having a way to scan of fax anything at the time.
  11. Mine rattle also but if you tap the back of the mag a few times it will stop rattling. As everyone else has said if they function I'd not worry about it.
  12. What kind of testing are you doing? Could you going to share your data with us when done?
  13. I was getting low but was able to get a few pounds of titegroup last week. Still can't fin n320 but I'm good for a little while now.
  14. I'm out in the Mebane area but lots of people on the form in your area. Welcome to the site/sport. do you shoot at sir Walter Raleigh gun club?
  15. I'm using a 11# in my edge with a stock buffer and a dawson tool-less guide rod. I tried several different springs before deciding on this. Buy a few different rate spring to try out.
  16. I crono'd some a while back. I think they were right at 180Pf (1100-1120fps). They shot nice in my STI edge but you can work up a softer load if your reloading.
  17. One of my LGS had some last week. I need to stop by there soon I'll see if they have any left.
  18. My sti edge does not change trigger pull weight loaded vs unloaded. Is you trigger bow rubbing on the mag? Have you checked with a different mag? Other than rubbing on the mag don't understand what else it could be.
  19. First time DQ, so as long no one was injured, and I learned from it (which i did) then it wasn’t total loss. Just frustrating.
  20. Stage was going smoothly up until...STOP... I was shooting a string of 4 paper wasn't happy with the placement of my shots on target 2. Shot a second set. Was just beyond the 2nd target. Broke the 180. I should have let the score stand.
  21. I've been a member here for a few months. Reading all I can to improve my shooting. Look forward to learning more as time allows. Shot USPSA for the past year. Very happy so far with my progress (high C shooter at this point). Located in Central North Carolina
