rolen1517
What are my options for making my Stainless PT grip black and who to send it off to ?
tyler2you
I think your options are: Cerakote Melonite/Nitride Ionbond DLC or another PVD coating Lots of places do Cerakote and you might find someone local. H&M seems to be the go to place for Nitriding. Club Custom Guns does Ionbond.

tyler2you
Send an email to info@blacknitride.com They sent me a quote within a day the last time I used them.
zzt
Rolen, you don't send a complete gun. You sent only the individual components that you want treated. Springs, Ti and Al parts are a no-no. Only carbon steel or SS can be nitrided.

grantwoodok
I Cerakoted my grip but after about 6 months of drawing it from a DAA magnetic holster it's showing wear on the trigger guard. IonBond DLC seems to be a better bet.

IonBond DLC seems to be a better bet. DLC is going to wear through there as well.

Boxer1
If you go with H&M on Nitride try to get several pieces and get a batch quote it will make the cost per piece more reasonable. They do top notch work.
