HerdThinner
So I had my M2 tricked out. I was curious who is running a rear sight on their shotguns and who isn't. Pros. Cons. Thanks. Happy Easter

P.E. Kelley
XS Rear with a notch filed in (makes it look more like a standard pistol rear) Dovetailed in a pistol front sight to match. As far as them getting in the way...I personally have not had any issue. In fact I set a course record a couple years ago at the 5-Stand at Rio Salada using my 3Gun shotgun equipped with that sight set up.
roxymajor
Pros and Cons.... the Pros are running rear sights, the Cons are in jail and don't have shotguns. If you are planning on shooting major matches, then I suggest a rear sight.
mrhoppy
Using a rear sight can help out greatly when shooting weak shoulder too. There's a tendency to badly mount the gun in the shoulder when shooting weak side causing the gun to shoot high.
HerdThinner
I can't agree more. Thanks as always.
kurtm
Rear sights? It's a shotgun, it doesn't need a rear sight!! Your eye is the rear sight! Just mount it the same each time!......I could go on with the crap I have heard about this, but my shotgun has had a flip up 10-22 rear sight since 1995
Malcolm31
I have an Xs rear sight dovetailed into the rib on my m2 - it really helps with shooting slugs.
