Pen for High Heat (Desert) Conditions?

I accidentally left my phone in the car. The car interior got so hot it turned itself off. Unfortunately I didn't save the data in the notepad so I lost all the chrono data I had for that day.

I have left several types of pens in the car. A lot of them leak and the ink gets all over the place. All of them died prematurely.

I want to be able to them leave inside my car/range bag and not have to worry about it not working or leaking due to high heat. I'm going to get mechanical pencils but also want a pen.

Any specific brand/model that you have had personal experience with that you could recommend for this type of environment?

Hello: Put your pens in a plastic bag to protect your contents. Also lay them horizontal. I have heard space pens work well? Thanks, Eric

I use space pens for work they are a good idea but if you're smarter than NASA like the Russians were use a pencil, it'was several million dollars cheaper

I use the Fisher Space Pen at work. Works in cold or heat.
