aandabooks
Is the 627 V-Comp model legal for revolver division?
MWP
Yes, with the cap on it instead of the comp. it should include both.

aandabooks
I've got a line on one for a great price. Just want to make sure it is legal first.
PackerBacker
Just make sure you get the blank end cap like MWP said and you will be good to go in USPSA.
MWP
And drill that blank cap out a bit once you get it, I usually go a little over .4".
revoman
If you need a fiber optic sight for it Dawson makes one.
NickBlasta
You can use the actual compensator and not the cap, if you want to shoot in Open.

Nick I can bring you a V-Comp sometime if you want to try that... We can trade equipment I shot a 929 with the comp on it. I'm not sure how much the comp does to minor, probably not a lot, but I liked it!
AzShooter
What's not to like? If the 929 is set right, no problems with a crooked barrel, no problems with brass sticking, cylinder gap is within specs there's not much that can go wrong. I was lucky and even got an 8 lb trigger on mine when it came from the factory. Love the chrome trigger and hammer. All I did was replace the springs with a Black Magic Spring Kit from Vic Picket, replaced the hammer with an APEX hammer and the trigger is now at 5.5 lbs. I had been shooting a V-Comp for USPSA and ICORE and really liked it. I love the heavy bbl. I used the cap instead of the compensator and it shot great. You should have no problems with either gun. I'd go with the V-Comp again if I had it all to do over again.
UFO
Here's mine. It shoots more accurately than my 627-5 PC gun.
