Chutist
I've searched and found charge weights from 4.6 to over 5.0 of Titegroup. Ive got Xtreme 180 Gr. HP and plan of starting with an OAL of 1.180 Something close to PF that I can work up from in the 5" STI?
MrRick
4.4gr at 1.120 was making major for me out of my Executive but to snappy for my taste.
awfaxis
My DVC needs 4.9 of TG to make 170-172 using the Heavy Plate 180 xTremes. I load at 1.155 so that my wife's M&P 40 can use the same ammo. Same PF also.
fishsticks
4.7-4.8 should be close. If you are at all concerned about it start at 4.6, load 10 and chrono.

Chutist
I went ahead and loading 25 at 1.180 and 4.5 last night while I was getting the 550 set up. I'll bump it up to 4.6...4.7... repeat as necessary. Just wanted be sure I wasn't going to "hurt" anything starting at 4.
Sandbagger123
have lots of friends that use TG with EX 180's. the sweet spot is 4.7 to 4.8 @ 1.18 . should make about 940 or so out of your barrel. it s been pretty consistant out of many 5"2011s that we have tested. pbcaster45
I prefer WST in my Edge (softer shooting) but Titegroup is showing up on the shelves again and it's just as accurate. Chutist
Thanks for all the replies. Yesterday I ran 4.5's of TG and then the 4.6's, 100 rounds total. Gun really felt good. It ran MUCH better with the 12lb recoil spring and 1.180 OAL. I was pretty happy that it was running 100%. Wind was 15 with gusts to 25... So I couldn't set up the chrono. I'd guess I'm "close" to major. There were no over pressure signs, I'll bump to 4.7 and get busy loading. If they are "under" when I get to chrono, I'll just use them for practice. Should be close!
