wblacksh
The bottom of the grip safety does not catch on the top of the main spring housing. It will rotate out of the grip. Has anyone seen this before? How did you fix it? Or do I need to post a picture of what I am trying to describe. It is on a brand new CK arms open gun. It came out of the box like this. Thanks. Pat Miles
A pic or two would be helpful. Will the grip safety rotate back under the mainspring housing ALL the way. Maybe the MS housing was put in with the GS out.
JRM83
I just bought a CK arms 2011 and my grip safety does not function. I am not familiar enough with the 1911/2011 platform yet to describe why, but FYI. ETA - I prefer it this way. bigboy69
I would say that the gun wasn't put together right and the tang on the grip safety was not behind the main spring housing. OR the main spring housing is for a commander model 1911????

wblacksh
Matt Cheely sent me a private message last night. He is taking care of it. That was fast support! Thanks.
wblacksh
Thanks to Matt and Bobby. I was out of town for a week, but when I came back, I shipped it to Bobby on Monday and I had a fixed gun back in hand on Thursday! Shooting it in a match tomorrow morning. Thanks again for the great support.

wblacksh
Bobby called me and told me there was a bad batch of STI plastic grips. They were formed wrong. He said they have replaced 3 of them so far. For the people who PMed me. I recommend giving them a call. I am very happy with the replacement grip Bobby installed on my gun. I shot a match today and it ran ran 100% Bobby was very apologetic that I had a bad one and had to deal with it.
wblacksh
I'll post a video some time in the next day or so of the gun running.
wblacksh
Video as promised. Please don't laugh at me on the last stage. I saw the steel faster than my brain said "it is a classifier, don't forget the mandatory reload".
