7 lb recoilspring for STI --- where to buy ?

looking for a 7lb recoil spring for my STI TruBor open gun .. any idea where to buy ?

Does the trubore have the STI whatchumacallit? recoil master I think? Or a standard guide rod? If it's a standard guide rod just call shooters connection and order some ISMI's, Wolff, etc. They have everything you need.

I tried 7 pounders in mine and man I really had to keep it spotless to stay 100%. I now use wolff 8lb variables exclusively.

Hello: If your Tru Bor has a full length guide rod get a ISMI 8lb and 9lb recoil springs. The 7 will be to light for even minor loads. The slide hits the frame harder than it needs to. Now if you are going to use a Wolff spring then you can use a 7 since it is more like an 8 1/2 ISMI but it will get soft and will be a 7 then a 6. I am talking about the standard Wolff spring not the chrome silicon ones like the ISMI are. Shooters Connection is your best source and if you order today you should have it Friday. While your at it order a 17lb ISMI mainspring and Shooters Connection firing pin spring and maybe a Dawson sear spring. Thanks, Eric

You can get a 7lb spring from Wolf and Shooters Connection. I run one in my full size FGW Open gun with a one piece guide rod running at 172 PF and it runs great.
