CZ Loading Titegroup and Bayou Question

Recommended Posts

Recently got a SP-01 and want to work up a good minor load. I have same Bayou 124s, 135s and have a sample pack of 147s on the way. I've loaded these for a Glocks and a 1911, but never worried about PF since I only shoot Limited major in USPSA.

Thought I would try them all to see what it prefers as I am going to give production a try next year. I searched through the forum and came up with these loads. Is this a good place to start for a CZ? I will crono them, but figured I would learn from others trails and tribulations. Thanks

124 gr 3-6 to 3.8 Titegroup col 1.135

135 gr 3.2 to 3.4 Titegroup col 1.135

147 gr 3.1 to 3.2 Titegroup col 1.135

Black Bullets Int. 135 gr bullets work very well for me out of my CZ's. I've got 5 different CZ pistols and they all seem to have very little headspace, the SP-01 being the shortest of them all.

I have to load the 135 to an OAL of 1.09 to avoid jamming into the lands of the rifling. My 147gr have to be loaded even a scosche shorter, about 1.085 which is dangerously close to minimum OAL.

As others have stated above, be shire to preform a plunk/push test, Good luck.

When I was shooting Bayou 124 in my 9mm 1911 and M&P

3.7 Titegroup

124 Bayou

CCI SP

1.145 OAL

Got 128 avg PF in the 1911 and 129 avg PF in the M&P at 75 degrees with 65% humidity

This was a pretty smokey load so I stopped shooting it. Went to Xtreme bullets -> no more smoke
