Smitty79
Cell phone internet is real spotty where I shoot matches. I'd like to have an idea what hit factor is good for me on a given stage before I shoot it. The last 2 I've shot, I've way over estimated how fast I should shoot and then failed to do as well as I could. I know I should just shoot in "match mode" and let it fall where it falls. But I'd like the numbers anyway. Is there a reasonably current list out there?

bikerburgess
Unfortunately USPSA has yet to publish a list of the high hit factors for the classifiers and to the best of my knowledge nobody has done the leg work to calculate them by back figuring peoples scores in each division on each classifier. I believe i saw somewhere that the BOD directed that the list be published a few years ago but that has not happened yet.
motosapiens
It's a pretty trivial thing to calculate if you have an internetz. classifiercalc.com. Enter a HF, observe percentage, do math, done. (there are a couple on there that aren't accurate, but almost all of them line up exactly with the uspsa calculations). Just look them up as you need them, and write them down, and eventually you will have them all. Edited April 1, 2015 by motosapiens

johnsons1480
Divide your hit factor by your percentage, and you got got your answer. For instance, CM09-03. I shot a 5.4108 hit factor for 70.27% 5.4108/.7027=7.70 HF is 100% Divide possible points by hit factor and you get the time needed with max points 60/7.70=7.79 seconds You can also figure out how fast you have to blast if you drop points 54/7.70=7.01 seconds for 3 Cs and 5 As in Production. You get the idea

CMCalc may not have everything but in this case, with no data connection, it would probably be more useful than a website you can't reach.

Yes, it would be fairly straightforward- perhaps one could use Excel? My personal conclusion is looking up hit factors ahead of time has never helped me but that's just me. motosapiens
My personal conclusion is looking up hit factors ahead of time has never helped me but that's just me. I've never tried it in a match, but it is handy to have an idea of the HF's if you occasionally set up a simple classifier for practice. In a match, I'm not sure it would be a good idea to try to shoot what I think I should vs what I actually can see.

In a match, I'm not sure it would be a good idea to try to shoot what I think I should vs what I actually can see. Agree 100% my friend. Knowing what makes a 100% on an El Prez, for example, is a great diagnostic tool and even a skill development tool if that is your goal. In a match environment, with one attempt at the classifier, attempting to force yourself into say, a 12 HF, is usually an invitation to crash and burn. I think OP's saying he has shot them too aggressively, which I also have done, and wants to know a "pace" that would be reasonable. I've shot classifiers that would be over 100% assuming I had enough holes in the right places... everybody wants to go fast, sometimes faster than we can. My question mirrors yours, in a match environment, why try to shoot anything besides what you can see? No speeding up or slowing down... if you aren't happy with it, set it up in dry and live fire practice until you can get a result you are happy with. johnsons1480
Production division results for all of 99. On 99-14 and 99-40, I guess they were expecting you to put points in instead of hit factor. They calculated out to crazy high, 90%+ hit factors.
