Rob Tompkins
Not that I've ever seen. You can get then hard chormed.
PatJones
Robar does a nice electroless nickel I'm considering for my range officer.
shotgunone
I don't think STI makes any gun in stainless steel.
Bunsen
Nothing comes in stainless. you have to get a coating and I would recommend nickel over chrome or even better than both Cerakote.
b1gcountry
Cerakote is better than hard chrome in your opinion?
Bunsen
Probably more of a personal preference but even with the matte hard chrome it is still to shinny for me.
Damineg34
Ceracote is only temporary it will begin to show wear day 1. If you are using this as a competition pistol. Hard chrome Trojan is nice, though more expensive than the standard.
Rob Tompkins
Melonite is a better solution, better corrosion resistance and lower friction when lubed. And its available in any color you want, as long as its black.

RePete
Holster wear = character in my book +1 on that. All of my STI's have character lines. It also means that the gun isn't a safe queen but a used tool.
OPENB
My Para Pro Comp is IonBond'ed, I used a kydex holster with it from day 1, and it looks like new. I believe IonBond is Melonite. I do like hard chrome. I have had several guns done with Armaloy too, a hard chrome with Teflon. They have a local shop and quick turn around. NicVerAZ
Mine is blue and, having been shot, holstered and drawn hundreds of time, shows a lot of wear, which I call "mojo" (musician lingo). The more mojo the more bragging right. It's a gun, it's made to be shot, not put behind a glass.
