Smitty79
I've seen over and over that I should lube the main shaft on my 550 with 30W oil. I know how to do the grease zerks for the pins. How do you apply to the oil to the shaft and how much do you use? Is it AR15 BCG sloppy wet or Glock dry?
Youngeyes
Just give it a light coating. Take a rag with some 30W and wipe it on. When you lower the ram you shouldn't get a flood of oil scrapping off.

njl
The zerks are a very recent design improvement? My RL550B purchased in 2008 just has pin holes in the cast parts for the oil points.

The pin holes on my 650 allow the grease to squeeze out. The fittings go into the ends of the pins/bolts where the nut threads on. Or at least that is how mine is set up. rdinga
Can you send in an older press and have it upgraded for zerks?
Pat Miles
Can you send in an older press and have it upgraded for zerks? Give the folks at Dillon a call and ask.
mjohn
Yes................. but you will have to pay for it. I called and it is not included in the price if you are refurbishing you machine. From what I understand, the parts are approx $45 and you can do it yourself. Supposedly, you only have to unloosen the nuts and the arms then come off.
