Too much going on this early in the year, spring clean up, PSA, World Class SC, etc. The Fall would be nice, just watch out for leaf peeper season (do they have that in Jersey ?) Sept. 15-18 is the Steel Challenge. Not sure if Randy Hollowbush will be doing anything at Topton PA in Oct. I'll see him at the PSA and ask. The land behind the pin range got sold, and while the new owner was up there someone was shooting and you guessed it. It was due to deflection on the top tier. 10mmdave Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Oct. 1st looks good from a distance.....misses the Columbus Day weekend which has always been a bad traffic weekend, for me anyway. Hotels should be okay since it's not a holiday weekend and not yet leaf peeper time in your nech of the woods. I added it in pencil to my shoot calender DougC, yes, heard about the Topton issue, that's really to bad, now that it was back in October I wanted to get back there. john soltesz Posted April 15, 2005 Share Posted April 15, 2005 looks like sat oct 1st 2005 will be the date for the yearly knockdown steel match presented by world class steel and hosted by the old bridge rifle and pistol club here in nj. A big thank you to all that responded about a date which would work for all. The match will be held yearly at this weekend and will consist of be 6 stages of centerfire pistol and 1 shotgun side match stage as we did in march. Each stage will have a min. of 24 targets of varying shapes and sizes.The match will be limited to the 1st 120 shooters. Sunday the following day will be our regularly schedule day and we will shoot the 6 pistol stages with only shotgun. More info will be forth coming in the worldclasssteel.com website in the next month or so or log onto the site and email sep with your email address, we will email you the apps as soon as we have finalized them. October 1 2005...match will be limited to the 1st 120 competitors, and multiple guns can be shot. The match will consist of 6 stages with a min round count of 180, with possible shotgun side match of 25 knockdown targets @ 5.00 per run. BillL223 Posted April 26, 2005 Share Posted April 26, 2005 I shot their inaugural match 3/25 and it was a lot of fun and well run. Very similar to the PSA format. To make a very "general" assessment, the targets were smaller but closer. The 24 round shotgun side match rocked. I lucked out with the Lewis scoring. I would recommend giving it a try. john soltesz Posted April 29, 2005 Share Posted April 29, 2005 the world class steel shootout, hosted by the old bridge rifle and pistol club in sunny old bridge new jersey, will have sidematches all day on sunday may 15, they will include rimfire pistol on static steel, centerfire pistol on static steel, 223 rifle on static steel 55gr limit, rimfire rifle knock down steel, shotgun knock down steel, and centerfire pistol knockdown steel, all stages will be 5.oo per stage, pay back by lewis system,all runs will stand for score, knock down stages will have 20 to 30 targets. Should be a great day and alot of fun for all, will start at aprox, 9 am and run till 4 or so,,, see worldclasssteel.com for more info or email the match staff. there will also be a 4 stage speed shoot, 5 targets per stage, on firday and saturday, for 10.00 per run.
