AJE
Yes, I've burned quite a bit of it through my handguns lately.
SWprotected
I used to use it in my 9mm with 122gr. LTC bullets, it was smokey, smelly, but absolutely the softest loads I have ever shot. I did not have a chrono at the time and I doubt they made PF but those loads were almost as soft as my airsoft gun.
mannparks
I had a 25# keg of red dot .that all I use in my handguns. Works fine.
njl
That's the high-price version. To really economize, use Promo with Red Dot data I bought my first Promo to load .380, but have started experimenting with it in .45 and .38spl. I think every handgun powder I've used is actually a shotgun powder.
Kraj
I used it for 9 minor, 40 minor/major, 380 and 44 mag. works great

mgrs
I used to use red dot in 9mm and .45. Soft but dirty and I only used it with light bullets in 9mm. It would make PF with lighter charges than anything else that I have used.
njl
I haven't found it to be especially dirty. I've read that the "newer" Red Dot is cleaner than it used to be. As far as charge weight required, I find it's in between Clays and WST...with Clays requiring the lightest charges.
yellowfin
Green Dot works great in a bunch of calibers too. Anyone here run it in 9? I have a bunch to put to use.

CeeZer
Most shotgun powders can be used for 9mm loading, not all published in manuals thou.
DanRobinson
Green Dot works great in a bunch of calibers too. Anyone here run it in 9? I have a bunch to put to use. 4.7 grains/124 grn cast lead hp. Don't know fps but shoots real clean in M&P. Hardly need to tumble after shooting, cases are so clean...and just about fills the case.
