Need Solo 1000 replacement suggestions.

I'm starting to run out of Solo 1000 for my minor loads and need a replacement. I'm shooting 147gr copper plated round nose and would like something that's clean burning with a low recoil impulse. What else have you guys been using instead?

look at something called Promo.

it's a shotgun powder like Solo and shouldbe a good replacement for you.

With the recent release of Winchester powder being found in numerous locations I would look for WST. 3.8 grains of WST and the 147 x-Treme makes for a great combination in my Glocks. I hear good things about WSF and 147's however I have not yet loaded this combination.

I like solo 1000 but could never find it after I ran out so I started using titegroup and E3 with great results. Just as soft, clean, accurate and the feel is basically identical.

+1 on the e3. It will do anything Solo will do and you don't have to work up a new load after every bottle is empty.

I switched from Solo 1k to E-3 this last year. Less smoke, not temperature sensitive, same feel, and batches chrono consistent.

Fortunately I had ordered 16 lbs of Solo and 16 lbs of Clays before the madness started. Promo works well as does Clay Dot. Midway had some Clay Dot for about 10 minutes. I just happened to be sitting at my computer when the notification popped up. I go through powder fairly quickly as I am loading for two. One of our local gun stores tends to have pistol powder most of the time.
