Rifle Magazine couplers

I agree with the above statement, and I also feel that this start allows for better control if the 2nd mag is needed for a reload. This way you grip the mag that you will be reloading with your left hand and can see what you're about to try to shove into the magwell.

Another benefit to starting with the extra mag on the left - if you need to change, you'll have more open access to the bolt release if you need it.

Actually Ive noticed that before. I went to slap it with my heel and no worky.

I start like most others with the extra mag on the left.

I just started using coupled mags this year. My idea being to swap between hoser and LR ammo. I found this to be slow and in the future I'll just bring 2-3x the needed LR ammo so I don't have to scrimp on it. I'd rather use a much higher capacity magazine and stack in hoser ammo if I can, otherwise I'll be shooting all LR ammo on stages with targets over 200 yards.

Congratulations on a great performance this year (2014 USPSA MG Nationals) !

I learned that same lesson at my first major this year. From now on its the good stuff for the whole match. If there are papers at the start of a stage ill put just enough blaster ammo in to cover that however.

I run a bad lever and the mag on the left so I can grip it quicker with my left hand for the change. Another option if you want to monopod with it is use the nordic 18 round extension for me it is the perfect hight for prone shooting. I only run coupled mags when prone shooting. Any other time the mag couplers just slow me down and it's faster to load from my belt.
